It is 21st century, the modern age so everything is different from previous. The procedure of child rearing and caring is also different from our grandmothers period. Nowadays most of the young mother are job holder. They give birth child but they don’t have time for the care of their children. In Nepal, they have left their children with their grandparents. So it important to give training for these grandmother about the modern childcare training.
In the a research when we met different grandmothers, they said they are very happy of caring their grandchildren but they are facing some hurdles to make the good relations with their them. In my relation, some grandmas are taking care their grandchildren but they don’t fully know about proper care of their grandchildren like the food habit, necessary nutrition for the children. They said that “it’s so different to raise a child now compared to the old times when I was a mother”. So for this they need some special training for them.Some mothers keep their children in day child care, with the domestic helper but sometimes it will be risky There is the fear of child abuse. We hear such types of news daily. Grandparents play the most active part in the socialization of their grandchildren.Many researches proved that a child, who is grown up with grandparents he/she will not involve in crime. The number of older people is growing rapidly in every part of the world.The world is ageing rapidly. People aged 60 and older make up 12.3 per cent of the global population, and by 2050, that number will rise to almost 22 per cent. There will be more grandparents in every countries. They will more healthier and longer life than today. The number of working people will be reduced. So the elderly dependency level will be increased. For this, the child care training will be very useful for the every family and all the grandmas who feel proud and happy by making the good relation with the family and lovely grandchildren.
